  • 1/2 cup spinach

  1. Step 1 To prepare this delicious recipe, first chop the green chilies. Set aside for further use, then chop the cheese cubes in a bowl.
  2. Step 2 Next, cut the spinach into thin slices, first chop the spinach and then add boiling water. Wait for the spinach to soften. Once they soften, remove them immediately and place them in ice water. After a minute, drain the water and reserve the hot spinach.

  • 1/2 cup Thick Green Chutney
  • 2 tsp Cooking Oil
  • Tempering/ Tadka
  • 3 tsp Cooking Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds/ Rai
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds/ Til
  • 10 Curry Leaves
  • 5 Green Chilies slit
  • Pinch Asafoetida/ Hing


  1. Wash the Ural rice and chives and soak in enough water for 7-8 hours,
  2. then drain the water, then rinse the Ural rice and daisies with fresh water, grind the Ural rice and chives until you get a smooth paste, like idli dough.
  3. Pour the oil into it and mix well, then ferment the dough overnight or for 8-9 hours.
  4. Take 1/4 teaspoon of soda / end, 1 teaspoon of oil and 2 teaspoons of water in a bowl and mix well. Add this mixture to the sourdough, bring it to a boil in a steamer and add water to the dhokla dish.
  5. When the water starts to boil, pour the dough into 2 greased plates, put these plates in the steamer and cover the pot, steam for 10 minutes at high temperature, remove the plates from the steamer and cook for 2-3 minutes, then put the hot sauce in a dhokla (on the rough side), put another dhokla on top (keep the rough side in the hot sauce) and roll gently.
  6. Roll the pins so that both layers adhere properly.
  7. Heat the oil in a small saucepan and add the temperature setting ingredients. When the sesame seeds are golden brown, remove and heat them and add 2 teaspoons of water. Pour this tempera over the dhokla sandwich.
  8. Cut the dhokla into squares or diamond shapes, garnish with chopped cilantro, and serve.
