Who doesn’t like to eat barfi? In a survey, it is seen that 95% of the Indians love to have barfi on any occasion. Barfi doesn’t require any special occasions to eat, but barfi is the only sweet which is famous in every festival of India starting from Deepawali to holi.
Barfi needs no introduction but still for who doesn’t know barfi ? Barfi is usually loved by all the Indians during holi .
The word ‘barf’ means ‘ice’ or ‘snow’ in Persian. Barfi is a solid dessert made of condensed milk. There are many flavors to choose from—Pista (pistachio), rose, saffron, chocolate, and almond.
2.Moong Dal Dahi Vada
If you are some one who loves to eat healthy in this festival seasons then , Moong dal dahi vada is a perfect combo for you all , its taste so awesome and overeating will also not affect on your health .
Moong Dal or Urad Dal can be used for making Vada but keep in mind don’t deep fry it , a shallow frying will make a perfect vada which will taste awesome with dahi and some chilli powder and some masala from the top.
Moong dal is also loaded with high proteins and essential vitamins which will keep you healthy in this festive seasons of holi.
3.Thandai (Low Calorie)
Whenever we heard about the word holi one thing will surely come into our mind that is “Thandai”. Without a Thandai Holi seems to be impossible! Thandai is a cold refreshing drink made with milk and mandatory for all get to gather and parties.
However, in thandai Sugar plays an important role in giving a sweet taste to it but if you are health conscious then you can use Jaggery instead of Sugar in it.Thandai should be one of the first food items for this holi.

Gujiya Is one of those traditional food that has to be there in Holi . Gujiya is specailly eaten in the month of March to April generally when the Holi comes every year.
Gujiya is a popular North Indian sweet of a crisp, flaky pastry filled with a sweet khoya and dry fruits stuffing.
Gujiya do resemble empanadas and very much popular in north India, especially during Holi festival. Its not they are made only during Holi. They are also made during Diwali.
